The Programming Club, Department of Computer Science & Engineering had organized a Coding Contest and Workshop “#include" for the second year students of all branches of our college on 11th October, 2022 (Wednesday) from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM in Computer Centre – I and CSE Labs, 3" and 4" Floor, CS/IT Block and 8th October 2022 to 9th October 2022 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in Main Seminar Hall, Admin Block, respectively.
The workshop entailed the concepts of Competitive Programming from Basic to Advanced level with additional focus on Data Structure and Algorithms. The workshop was conducted by Third and Fourth Year students who taught their respective expertise on the topics in order to create and uplift the coding environment in the college in order to continue the legacy and spirits set forth by our Seniors, Teachers and Our College Administration. Also, the contest was organized on HackerRank platform with an aim to facilitate programming skills among second year students, so they can cater the demands of the IT industry. In this contest, students solved six programming problems assigned to them in the area of Data Structures and Algorithms. They had chosen the programming language of their choice to solve these problems. Results were generated by HackerRank platform depending upon the time taken by the students to solve assigned problems and verifying their solutions on all test cases.

Overall the coding contest and workshop was a beneficial and knowledgeable experience for all the participating students to learn more about COmputer Programming Skills and its Applications. The event is an opportunity for participants to learn new technologies.
