Commemorating the 75 glorious years of independence, " Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav " means the celebration of independence energy, celebration of our ancestor’s inspirations, celebration of fresh thought and commitment, the celebration of hard work, innovation, the enterprise of ordinary Indians, and the celebration of Atma Nirbharta.

To honor the same, Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College organized an event, “Zara Yaad Karo Qurbani", at 6:00 – 9:00 pm, in the College Open Air Theatre on 25 th June 2022, as a tribute to our freedom fighters and to tell the world how we stand tall and proud as a sovereign, socialist, democratic, and one republic nation.

The event was organized following the covid norms prescribed by the government a limited number of faculty, Staff and students were permitted to watch the event in the Amphitheater. To enable others to witness the event was broadcasted live on the AKGEC Digital School YouTube Channel.

The event commenced at 6 pm with lamp lighting ceremony by Dr. R.K. Agarwal, Director General of the college and the Ganesh Vandana by students of dance society Taal. Subsequently around 120 students of various cultural societies of the college viz Footprint, Horizon, Goonj, Euphony and Taal presented a mesmerizing stage performance for around three hours. Salient aspects of the program are given below:

1. Patriotic songs and musical performances by students of Euphony society.
2. Stage mono acts and drama on sacrifices of Shaeed Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekhar Azad and Durga Devi our freedom fighters by Dramatic society Goonj.
3. Dance Performances on themes depicting freedom struggle by students of Taal society.
