The successful conclusion of the five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Stress Management" from 15-19 January 2024 by the Department of Information Technology at Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad, in collaboration with NITTTR Chandigarh, is a noteworthy achievement, fostering both professional and personal growth among faculty members. The program adopted a targeted approach to mindfulness, encouraging participants to be present, observe thoughts without judgment, and manage emotions through self-awareness. Prioritizing emotional intelligence and effective communication, the FDP aimed to create a positive environment, emphasizing the importance of fostering happiness for overall life satisfaction. This holistic strategy mirrors the department’s unwavering dedication to comprehensive faculty development, addressing not only professional but also personal well-being. The active engagement of 35 enthusiastic participants and the significant contributions of Dr. P K Singla, the coordinator from NITTTR Chandigarh, Dr. Rahul Sharma (HOD IT), and local coordinators Dr. Anupama Sharma and Dr. Ruchi Gupta, contributed significantly to the program’s success, affirming the department’s commitment to nurturing a positive academic community.
