Convergence of Applied Sciences in Engineering & Technology (COASET-2025)

The Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities, Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad, in association with the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), Noida Centre, organized a two-day international conference titled “Convergence of Applied Sciences in Engineering & Technology (COASET-2025)" on 27th and 28th June 2025. The objective of the conference was to bring together researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and students on a common platform to discuss the integration and application of various branches of applied sciences in engineering and technology.
The conference was centered around six multidisciplinary themes:
• Relevance of Applied Mathematics in Engineering & Technology
• Relevance of Chemistry in Engineering
• Recent Trends & Scope of Physics in Engineering
• Strategic Management & Interpersonal Communication
• Artificial Intelligence and Embedded Systems
• Renewable Energy Sources and Energy
Storage Solutions
The response to the call for papers was overwhelmingly positive. A total of 147 abstracts were received, out of which 117 were accepted. Subsequently, 95 full-length papers were submitted, and 73 of them were accepted for oral presentation after a stringent single-blind peer review process. These selected papers were presented over six technical sessions, some conducted in parallel. 28 papers were presented online, and 35 in offline mode. The quality of papers and discussions reflected the conference’s commitment to academic excellence. Selected papers are also being submitted to reputed journals for possible publication after further review.
The inaugural session on 27th June 2025 set a dynamic tone for the conference. It was presided over by Dr. Hemant Ahuja, Director, AKGEC, and Prof. S. L. Kapoor, the Conference Convener, who introduced the theme and expressed gratitude to the dignitaries. The session was graced by Shri Sunil, President of IETE, and Shri Krishna Kumar Dixit, Retired Deputy Commissioner, Government of India, as the Guest of Honour and Chief Guest, respectively. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Brajesh Pandey, Executive Director, INSA, New Delhi, who emphasized the significance of smart materials in reshaping future technologies.
COASET-2025 featured keynote addresses by eminent national and international speakers. International speakers such as Acharya Rohit from the UK, Dr. Sachin Kumar from the University of Scotland, and Dr. Shailendra Rathore from the UK addressed the conference virtually, speaking on AI, statistical applications in healthcare, and the blend of machine learning with blockchain technology. National speakers included Dr. Shailesh Mishra, Technical Director at Otrinee Pvt. Ltd., who highlighted e-waste management, Dr. Vivek Chadha, founder of Accelerate X Ventures, who emphasized the growing role of applied sciences in startups, and Dr. Jai Prakash, Professor at AMU, who discussed nanocomposites in tunable displays.
Distinguished academicians chaired various sessions. These included Dr. Shiv Raj Singh (CCSU), Prof. Mangey Ram (Graphic Era University), Prof. V. K. Singh (GL Bajaj, Mathura), and Dr. Vijay Kumar (Amity University, Noida). Their presence added academic depth and credibility to the technical proceedings.
A special highlight of the second day was the student poster presentation session, where 15 student teams showcased innovative projects aligned with the conference themes. These posters reflected the creativity, research aptitude, and presentation skills of young minds.
The valedictory session was honored by the presence of AVM P. K. Srivastava, Brig. V. K. Pandey, and Shri G. P. Singh, whose insights and presence made the concluding session impactful and memorable. The conference concluded with a note of gratitude to all delegates, participants, session chairs, and speakers for their active involvement.
COASET-2025 successfully achieved its goal of fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and encouraging innovative thought in applied sciences and engineering. The conference not only provided a platform for knowledge sharing but also inspired the participants to integrate research and practical applications in their respective fields.
