The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) organized a one-day expert talk on “Cloud 2.0: Accelerating Transformation Through Automation” on 13th October 2025 for 3rd-year CSE students. The session was conducted by Mr. Tushar Kaushik, Senior Cloud and DevOps Solution Architect, Sapient Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Gurgaon.

The talk aimed to provide insights into the evolving landscape of Cloud Computing 2.0, emphasizing the integration of automation, DevOps, and AI-driven cloud operations that are redefining modern IT infrastructure and enterprise digital transformation.

Objectives
• To introduce students to the next generation of Cloud Computing (Cloud 2.0) and its applications.
• To highlight how automation and DevOps are accelerating digital transformation in industries.
• To bridge the gap between academic concepts and industry practices in cloud-based solutions.
• To motivate students towards career opportunities and research directions in Cloud and DevOps technologies.

The session began with a welcome address by the coordinators, followed by a detailed technical talk by Mr. Tushar Kaushik, who covered the following key themes:
• Evolution from Cloud 1.0 to Cloud 2.0 – Automation, Orchestration, and AI integration.
• Overview of Cloud-Native Architectures, Kubernetes, and Containerization.
• Role of DevOps pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) in modern enterprises.
• Case studies demonstrating real-world cloud automation solutions.
• Future trends and skill sets essential for careers in Cloud Computing and DevOps.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively engaging in Q&A discussions related to cloud deployment, CI/CD practices, and emerging industry tools.

Total 55 students participated in the workshop. The coordinators of the workshop were Mr. Pradeep Gupta, Assistant Professor and Mr. Anuj Kumar, Assistant Professor in the CSE Department.
