Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Department of Information Technology at AKGEC successfully organized offline 6-day AICTE-sponsored ATAL Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Generative AI for Holistic Healthcare: Smart Analytics for Humans and Crops.” The program brought together reputed experts from academia, research organizations, and industry to explore cutting-edge applications of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare and agriculture.

The FDP covered impactful sessions on Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Federated AI, Computational Biology, AI-enabled Security, Robotic Process Automation, and Clinical Decision Support Systems, enabling participants to understand emerging AI-driven innovations. A notable highlight was the industrial visit to the National Institute of Immunology (NII), New Delhi, where participants gained practical exposure to advanced immunology and AI-assisted research.

The valedictory session, graced by distinguished speakers from DRDO and IGDTUW, emphasized the transformative role of Generative AI in early diagnosis, precision medicine, and sustainable agricultural practices.

A heartfelt appreciation to the FDP Conveners, Coordinators, Resource Persons, and the dedicated Organizing Committees for ensuring the seamless and impactful execution of the programme. With enthusiastic participation from faculty members across institutions, the FDP proved to be a great success, strengthening AKGEC’s commitment to promoting research, innovation, and societal advancement through next-generation AI technologies.
